I'm afraid it depends on the manufacturer. However most installation kits convert from the manufacturers proprietary wiring loom to a standard aftermarket set. If this is the case as it should be then both radios should use the same wiring loom. However you shouldn't take this for granted even if the plugs fit. Check the pin mappings for both radios and chekc they are the same. If they aren't but the plugs fit on then you have two options: 1) Snip the wires and re-solder/terminal block them togther again to match the new arrangement 2)Buy a new wiring kit.

if its the plastic kit around the radio it should be compatibale with all radio that you put into that car. if you buy a new car and its the same kind like a gm or ford or chrysler the kit that you bought for a gm should fit into another kind of ford and same about the other kinds of cars
