  • If you like fascinating stories, try Jonathan Safran Foer, Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close. I enjoyed it a lot. Some older things I liked too were: T. C. Boyle, Water Music (the story of the Scottish explorer Mungo Park, who in the late 18th century went up the Niger river. The story is told from the perspective of his African servant - aho actually is the one who saves them all the time has has things under control) Salman Rushdie: Shalimar the Clown Redmond O'Hanlon: Into the Heart of Borneo, and In Trouble Again: A Journey between Orinoco and the Amazon. (hilarious reports from the journeys to the jungle made by an Oxford literature professor who is not exactly the Indiana Jones type). Enjoy!
  • Terry Pratchett - Hogfather Matthew Reilly - Scarecrow (third book in the Schofield series) Jack Heath - THE LAB Dan Brown - Angels & Demons Those are mainly books for young adults and you might ind them childish or too mature, depending on your age.
