No, my parents let me taste wine and champagne on a few occasions. When I was 16 I got drunk for the first time. That was a very bad experience. Thank goodness my date, who provided the alcohol, was a gentleman. I got sick and threw up all over the place. He took me home, walked me to the door, and told my mother that I was drunk and he was the one who gave me the liquor. I remember her saying to him, "You know you won't be allowed to date her again?" He said, "Yes".

NO I was raised in a Belgian family and we commonly had wine with dinner or an aperitif, or a sip of beer. It was just the way we did things. I never thought o drinking alcohol as anything other than just a beverage.

No I didn't. Then again i am a sensible person and have never been drunk off my ass. I do drink with friends and sometimes my family. never in public and never to excess. I have fun but I know my limits. I was raised in a way that I find it accepteble to have wine with dinner, and champagne on special occasions, like new years or my 18th birthday. I am also of the opinion that if you can fight for your country you sure as hell can drink a beer. It is not the age of socially acceptible drinking levels that we should worry about in the US but the maturity, and education level of drinkers that we should be concerned with. So long as the younger generations are raised knowing what an accepable amount of alcohol is, and proper behavior while under the influence (IE not driving) then there is no reason to have a national drinking age.

No. I was 15 when I first drank alcohol. And it was Vodka in a waterbottle at the bowling alley. I remember that night and this guy I new got in a fight with a blood. We were in the Suburbs and the blood was from the City. He had one of his "hommies" drive 50 min to Rocklin, CA, and he had a gun. He was going to shoot the guy I knew. So everyone just bounced/left. We were all a Freshman in Highschool.

No. When I was 14 my mum was having a party with some of the neighbours. She & one of the neighbours invited me to start drinking with them so I did. I got drunk, accidently sliced my hand on something & threw up in the garden. My mum thought it was funny but it was a good lesson for me.

No. I was 13 and my friends and I made a really potent cocktail of everything any of our parents had in the liquor cabinets (just a little out of each) and had a disgusting night of spewing in my friends parents garage.And although we got caught and grounded it was still a really good night. :P I also had many more disgusting nights before I turned 18 and don't regret a single one.
