There seems to be a lot of nonsense questions, answers and comments posted on here, so do the majority of people think before they ask, answer or comment?

i dont think they act people can be very stupid at times and just choose not to think. Me on the other hand i only ask about things that i belive are important. how about you

I think that the majority of questions are well asked, well thought out and I guess most of the answers seem to be that way too. If you look at the leaderboards at all the questions asked you can see that even among a few choice questioners, there is real quality there. There are people who are only interested in being clever but I think the majority do try to do things well.

Well , considering all the different categories we have , there will be fun and silly questions ,answers and comments - So yes I often answer fun questions and have been known to ask a few

I think what makes AB unique is the blend of educational and intelligent questions mixed with the more whimisical ones as well. It's nice to blow off some steam by answering some random questions (what color socks are you wearing today?) as well as learn a bit by researching or reading more educational answers. Sometimes you are just in a mood to be silly and others you want to learn more about something. It's nice to have both options :)

nothing wrong at all with what you class as 'nonsense questions' and yes I would say almost all ABer's do think before they answer or comment or post a question and remember this ... many a 'deep and meaningful' question is still awaiting an answer months after it was posted ...why? because you need to be an expert to answer them and as far as I know no one here on AB has claimed to be an expert as yet , so I would lighten up a little and have fun here on AB ...like the rest of us do and if you learn something along the way ...great

I think the questions, answers and comments posted on here are greatly influenced by the mood of the posters. People get silly, sad, serious,etc. Sometimes these moods produce a lot of nonsense. There are times when there are long periods of garbage in and garbage out but there are other times when great questions are posted and much is learned from the informative answers. It's like the best and worst of two worlds in here.
