Customers of McDonald's in the UK have been warned that they will be slapped with a $290 fine if they don't scoff down their food within 45 minutes. What do you think? (humour encouraged)

I think it would be more punishment to have to eat a McDonald's meal for longer than 45 minutes.

I think this is a fairy story that has crossed the Atlantic, I am UK and have not heard of this one and we use £'s not $'s, however I always feel sick at the thought of eating McD'S I know a few people who work there and even they wouldn't eat the food. On the lighter side, 45 minutes to eat a heart (oops!) beefburger does seem excessive and deserves a fine :o)

The favor should be returned. If the time I enter a McDonald's to the time I actually receive a correct order exceeds 45 minutes, they should get the fine.
