  • Get the kind of shoes that nurses wear - they are on their feet for 12 hour shifts every working day. http://www.amazon.com/gp/search?ie=UTF8&keywords=Nursing%20shoes&tag=onlinegames-20&index=blended&linkCode=ur2&camp=1789&creative=9325
  • A lot of nurses wear Dansko shoes. They are pricey, but well worth it.
  • I LOVE LOVE LOVE Ecco shoes, I wouldn't wear anything else http://www.eccousa.com/
  • I swear by combat boots! Once you break them in they will be comfortable for as long as you own them( unless actually going through combat). You will end up with toughended feet though!
  • I work in a nursing home and most of the nursing staff has taken to wearing those "Crocs". They swear they are the most confortable shoes they have ever worn. I noticed that alot of the support staff wear them also.
  • I have had good luck with Dr. Scholls or the K-Mart variation of that -- I think they are called Cobby Cuddlers or something like that. Also, if you can, try to not wear the same shoes all day -- keep a pair at your desk or in your locker or whatever, where you can switch mid-day. That's what a lot of the waitresses here do, and it helps them a lot.
  • I am a nurse and I love Crocs.
  • I used to work 13 hour shifts on terrazzo flooring...I used Rockports because I had to wear dress shoes and they gave me the best support...Also sometimes it helps to change your shoes half-way through your shift
  • New Balance 608's if you can wear tennis shoes. These are esp. great for folks like me who have wide feet (4E). I work on my feet all day on a concrete floor as well. Done this for the past 10 years and the NB's seem to be the best and last a long time. A good arch support insert helps a bunch too. I can't remember the name of the kind I use (starts with a "T" I think) but they are two tone blue and work great . . . I looked in my shoe but the name has worn off.
  • i wear rope sandals they are very comfortable
  • I do 13 hour shifts on concrete. I love my Rebock classic high tops, arch and ankle support. If not those anything from SASS, ugly, yes, but great support.
