Sometimes. I would get a naging pain and just thought it was because I drank something too cold or too hot. There were also times that I just would see the cavity when flossing. Other times, I don't know about it untill I see the dentist. That place is Horror! lol

I have a big cavity and it needs to be filled.

yah I have only had one cavity but i felt it especially when i drank realy cold liquids it was like a sharp pain it hurt or when i bit into something cold i felt the same thing

it depends on how big the cavity is. if it is large enough you will be able to tell when you eat something sticky (taffy,carmal,chocolate,) you will have a 'shocking' feeling in your tooth. cold water and hot water can sometimes bring out the 'shocking' sensation also.

If we get a toothache, plus it's often possible to see some of them - they make a brown patch on a tooth. Bad cavities will turn your teeth black and then about all you can do is have them taken out.

That's okay. I'm actually worried I have some cavities because I am afraid of going to dentists and could only afford to get them fixed in stages.
