No I don't know of any age requirement.

I have seen this stuff locked up behind the counter at the supermarket next to pregnancy tests. I doubt you have to be 18, I think they have a high frequency of shop-lifting on this type of item and want to monitor it's location and sales carefully.

It doesn't have an age limit. There isn't anything saying you can't get an infection before 18. You could get it from a dirty toilet or from wearing someone else's pants. It happens. Yogurt believe it or not can help if you eat it every day.

No you do not. If you're embarassed of what the cashier will think, find a big supermarket that has a U-scan and go through that. If you go to a store that you don't normally go to, you might feel more at ease with the anonymity.
