GOD IS 3 PEOPLE?!!!!0.O
-
It's not exactly as simple as all that.
-
Only one God and God is one. This is a good question.I believe in the FATHER, the SON,and the HOLY SPIRIT. They are 1 with God but they are not the ALMIGHTY. I also believe if you don't believe in HIS SON, you can't believe in HIM. Jesus never said he was God., only GOD"S SON. He responded once with " only the Father knows the time".{when he comes }

Maybe One of Them said that...

the catholic teaching on the three beings is that while god is three people he is one entity. this is where st. patricks famous three-leaf clover metaphor comes into play. while the leaves are seperate, they are still one. also... in genesis ch 1(forgot exact location, but its near the beginning) "let US go down" POLYTHEISM IN MY BIBLE??? it's more likely than you think.
-
It was written in a number of places, for 1 example is: Genesis 1:26 Then God said, “Let us make human beings [Or man; Hebrew reads Adam.] in our image, to be like us. So we can see there is more than one entity involved in creation.

Solomon told us in Proverbs we had to always be "open-minded". If you look at the big picture I think you can realize God was not alone when he created ALL. He had "spirit creatures or angels" with him. Who was Satan? a fallen angel who wanted adam and eve to worship him.{he still works hard today to get all to follow him} Who was Jesus before he came to earth as God's ONLY BEGOTTEN SON? HE was an angel that shared a very SPECIAL relationship with God. READ John3:13, 6:38 &62, 17:4&5. Colossians 1:15.Job 38:4-7 also says""all the sons of GOD began shouting in applause" when the earth was created. I have a strong tendency to believe he was the ARCHANGEL Michael. God was not alone. Another misconception is "in our image" , this is not physical only,it includes the emotional attributes as well, ability to LOVE , just like HIM, Jesus and the angels!!!

Here's a great website that can give you insight on the history and use of the trinity: http://www.religionfacts.com/christianity/beliefs/trinity.htm

The first thing to state is that according to the Bible, God is one being. A single, complete, unitary being. The bible describes there being different aspects/parts/'persons' to this single being - The Father God who lives in Heaven; the Word of God who was made flesh and came to earth in the form of Jesus; and the Holy Spirit, which is His presence with us here on earth today. As a spiritual being, this is possible. He is not limited by space or time, so there is nothing stopping him from having different parts of himself that play different roles, but are still part of the one being. In a way, if the bible is right and we are made in his image, we can look to ourselves for an example. We are really a single unitary being made up of different aspects, or parts: our physical flesh body, our consciousness (soul, perhaps) and the part of us that goes out to other people - our word. It is a part of us too. Beyond that, I can narrow it down to my physical body. I am one body made up of many parts: my hands, my feet, my eyes - all distinct parts of me with different roles and functions, and yet all still me. I am one single being displayed in many different facets. A blind person may only ever know me by the touch of my hand and the sound of my voice. A deaf person may only know me by sight, and never hear my voice. Each of these is me, yet only a part of me. If I am harsh, then the blind man will know me as harsh from my harsh hand and my harsh words... So... if God so chooses to reveal Himself to us in different ways, by having different facets of Himself that are distinct, He would be perfectly within His rights to refer to Himself as 'Us' or 'We', but as a single unitary being He is also right to refer to Himself as 'I'. I can refer to my body corporately. We - the hands, feet, eyes, etc. of Shabba all make up me, the body of Shabba. *** Secondly, the name 'I am' is simply a translation into English from the original Hebrew word. The original Hebrew word is "hayah", which literally means 'self-existent'. The most revered name of God by which the Israelites knew Him was 'Yahweh' (our pronunciation of their word YHWH), which simply means 'self-existent one'. It also is an indication of His unchanging nature. 'I am' is an ever-present statement. Ten thousand years ago he was 'I am', today he is 'I am', and in ten thousand years time he will be 'I am'. The bible says he is unchanging, the same yesterday today and forever - and this name does insinuate that. *** It's not enough to take bible scriptures at their English face value. Our language is so pathetic that we don't have words to describe concepts understood even in ancient times. The word 'love' for example, is used for five different definitions in the bible - each with its own distinct meaning! And reading the word 'love' here, with our western understanding of 'love', completely misses whatever meaning the original author was trying to convey with his/her words. The same goes with 'I am'...

Arent we all the sons of God? The father, the son, and the holy spirit? If Jesus was the son of God, then so are all of us, since we were made by him. Therefore, we all are a part of God and he is a part of us. Except he gets the laser vision, we dont get that part.

Mysterious ways man, mysterious ways.

God is three in one. three persons, one Godhead. We see from Genesis 1 that the word for the single God is "elohim", a plural word. That is how God gave us the idea that He is a very complex being right from the start.

The Trinity is rather like the three side of the triangle. Would each line of the triangle say "I am independent from these other two lines?" or "I am supreme above these other two?" No. Similarly, you cannot say, "A Triangle is one shape, completely independent from any others," for a triangle is made up of lines. The three lines coexist together, supporting each other and without the others could not exist. Therefore, God says, "I am," rather then "We are," because He is not three gods living together, but rather one God with three interdependent natures which assure the salvation of mankind.

Because God is NOT three persons... He said " I am" because he is the primary creator... He created Jesus as the very first thing he created. (Proverbs 8:22-31) “Jehovah himself produced me as the beginning of his way, the earliest of his achievements of long ago. 23 From time indefinite I was installed, from the start, from times earlier than the earth. 24 When there were no watery deeps I was brought forth as with labor pains, when there were no springs heavily charged with water. 25 Before the mountains themselves had been settled down, ahead of the hills, I was brought forth as with labor pains, 26 when as yet he had not made the earth and the open spaces and the first part of the dust masses of the productive land. 27 When he prepared the heavens I was there; when he decreed a circle upon the face of the watery deep, 28 when he made firm the cloud masses above, when he caused the fountains of the watery deep to be strong, 29 when he set for the sea his decree that the waters themselves should not pass beyond his order, when he decreed the foundations of the earth, 30 then I came to be beside him as a master worker, and I came to be the one he was specially fond of day by day, I being glad before him all the time, 31 being glad at the productive land of his earth, and the things I was fond of were with the sons of men. further proof that Jehovah God and Jesus were together as two is found here... (John 1:1-2) In [the] beginning the Word was, and the Word was with God, and the Word was a god. 2 This one was in [the] beginning with God. this one,[Jesus] was WITH God. (Genesis 1:26) And God went on to say: “Let us make man in our image, according to our likeness, ...Let..US...in....OUR...likeness...
