  • Yes, as long as they are not lying...
  • Yes I do think that. I also think that it's been done to a few people already and it is happening to more as we speak. Careful what you share.
  • You are Married Vegetarian Veteran Vasectomized Living in Seattle, WA Animal Lover Lives close to a High School Atheist Short Haired Beyond this... I doubt that I could stalk you and hunt you down.
  • Oh I think that is possible. It probably is done in here. It would not surprise me.
  • Oh it's very possible, I have no doubt that if someone followed me around for a week you'd be able to pick me out from a crowd.
  • I think that you could. I also think the person you do this to would have a strong case for cyber-stalking charges if you should use this information to harrass them. There are more and more cases dealing with this every day.
  • It really is possible, especially for people as "open book" as me. But I do not fear identity theft or anything. If anyone has fun looking me up and writing my whole life story, I'm flattered and I would share the same to anyone anywhere anyways! Go ahead! Look me up! But if you are about to write a book, let me know so i'll buy it! :) I believe privacy is truly important for security matters concerning your credit, your banking accounts etc... But for my life stories, good for them if they know it all! At least I'll be remembered :) I have no shame and nothing to hide :)
  • That's a scary thought! I'm anonymous here but otherwise someone could piece together everything I said and revealed about myself to profile my character.
  • A lot of people seem to think that. I've seen several questions about it. I think the only people who would care are the advertisers who want to buy advertising on here,(or AB who wants to sell it). They already can track what you buy, and the internet sites you visit, so you are not a stranger to anyone who really cares.
  • I'm an incredibly great liar, so no...
  • So? Isn't that the idea? To put forth who we are as honestly as we can and hope/expect that others do the same? What would be the downside of that? The upside, as I've already experienced numerous times, is to discover commonality among us, which brings us closer together and from that friendships evolve. If all you do is lie to protect who you really are, then I don't get the point..you waste your time and your waste everyone else's time..such people might be better suited finding a "fantasy/storyteller/liar" site and leave this site to the rest of us. :)
  • Yeah. Stableboy even came up with the idea of appointing someone to browse through my questions and answers to determine what my gender is, at the very least.
  • Never thought about it. Never cared to be honest and I really just think most people are who they say they are and those who are not.. I do not know. Having been on the site for a small bit.. and just recently getting asked for pictures and convos off site by people who were here the same as me but just now asking.. yea, I can see it is being done. Burning each other out in their little groups because of overexposure and now some are starting to spread their wings on their own (applause) they are trying to get to know others.. I stick away from all of that. I can usually tell who I would like and who I would not right off. I really think there are better things to do with MY time but from what I am understanding there are a few people bent on causing people hurt and playing head games so I can understand people wanting to weed them out and push their insincere tails in the limelight. That is their business and they can handle it. Sounds boring to me. They can piece me all together and toss me in the unthreatening pile as the goofy chick and I am just fine with that. Stick me in a group and I will probably claw my way out of it.
  • I don't think you're being paranoid. I think you're being realistic. As for thinking it's possible, I'm pretty sure it's possible myself. I have been honest on AB, so therefore you can piece together who I really am if you read my questions/comments/answers.
  • Do you really think peoples online personalities reflect who they are in real life?
  • I could do that easily and what has that got to do with paranoia? It simply is a great and telling essay of a person's thoughts. I think it would be fun.
  • absolutely. i would want that since if someone is my friend or vise versa i want to know them as much as they know me.
  • Its not Paranoia,i was given an example of how true this was just the other day,its amazing what you reveal with many innocent questions you answer
  • It's a thought that has crossed my mind. I am more honest here than I am in person...at least I offer my answers more freely here.
