  For those that have been in a healthy long term relationship, how did you cultivate and how do you maintain this.

  Flash back in time to when you used to trick or treat. You get home and open your stash. What do you eat first and what do you give away or try to trade?

  So, an awesome woman and I have had this relationship/ friendship thing going on for about three years now. Its been wonderful, but rather confusing. At first, we had bad timing around one another (as far as trying to date goes) as time went on, we found that we shared many tender moments. Everything we had done together was non sexual and rather blissful. Almost picturesque romance style. Unfortunately, she hit some bad times and things got hectic for us both. Eventually, we had to move away from one another (such is the way of military life) As well, we left on Rocky terms. After rekindling a friendship, we kept in touch for quite a while.
