  • Sure. You hang in there because you don't want to think of yourself as a quitter, but after failure after failure, you wonder, "What's the point in continuing to try?" When you're in the midst of frustration and despair, it's difficult to know where to draw the line between perseverance and denial of reality. Sometimes you just have to bite the bullet and stop putting your time and energy into something that's never going to pan out. On the other hand... "Thomas Edison, the man we need to thank for inventing the light bulb, was one of the most determined people of his time, perhaps ever. You see in the process of creating the light bulb Edison didn’t get it right on the first go, nor the second, or the 10th. He tried over 10,000 times before he finally managed to get the light bulb functioning properly. What did Edison have to say about this accomplishment? “I have not failed 10,000 times, I have successfully found 10,000 ways that will not work.” http://www.rubama.com/courses/think_like_a_winner/never_give_up.htm
