  • I've used it for 4 years without any problems.
  • It was listed as "rogue" software back in the day but it probably won't INFECT your machine. It was mainly guilty of logging false positives (detecting threats that weren't really there). I would leave it alone and stick to the suggestions already offered. You cannot go wrong with some sort of A/V solution, Ad-aware, Spybot S&D, and other well-known offerings. At home I use AVG free edition and Windows Defender coupled with the other software I mentioned.   • Adware alert provides scan and removal of spyware threats, and also includes a pop-up blocking engine. http://www.adwarealertreviews.com/
  • use adware or spybot search and destroy. Never heard of adaware alert
