Had the same surgery, except a double hernia without the mess.
My Indian doctor did not trust the mesh at that time and i am thankful he did not.
Instead, i have 14 surgical staples holding my internal parts together.
I had pain from the staples for about 3 years.

I just had mesh n' plug repair in early june for sports type inguinal, and even tho.docs at bkaiser say all is well go to psychiatry, I am in absolute misery.m.. can't.do anything but lay in bed. And its progressively worsening. I did.some research ystrdy, almost EVERY study out suggests long term moderate and severe pain present in upwards of 60% who had meeh n' plug inguinal repairs..... kaiser surgeon told of risks but spoke of EVERY risk in terms of 1%~2%, and never even mentioned the FDA's current investigation into all defect repairs using mesh becase of complaints surroundinng long term pain issues. Infuriaing considering Kaiser is basically writting our nations health care reform agenda. I can't immagine the reasoning for not telling of the study and the statistcwl anomalies, and leaving me with the decision.... am I now sentenced to suffer in agony for years to come?

You're reading Have had other hernia surgeries with mesh. Had a inguinal repair about a year ago still have a pressure sometimes a slight pain. Just heard about some mesh being recalled. Anyone know about this?

Most of tje recaled patches were pulled a few years ago. The one mfg that is currently being targeted is Kugel. If you had one of the complications the class actions are about, you would know; bowel perferation, fistula, bladder obstructiions, bloody stool and vommitt,.... lfe threatening emergency stuff. He issue surrounding the human body reacting/reiecting the materialbis not somehing brought to bear in court just yet.
