If a topical question is a year old, is it really a duplicate of the same question this year? How can did it snow in 2006 be a duplicate of did it snow in 2007?

I agree, if the question is like a year old, then I think some "duplicates" should be taken into consideration. Within reason of course.

I agree...one thing you can do is bring up the question again or tweak it somehow and add the year at the end or something and see how well that works.

I guess you would have to frame the question as loaded with other things to get it not lumped together. It's hard I know. I just noticed earlier that a question I had answered got put with another question, not the same at all I think, and now 13 out of 15 people all sound like idiots because they answered the other question. I hate when that happens:-(
