  • You don't NEED one, but it would be a little bit easier on your back.
  • Is it because you don't know you're locker combination? It's jammed? Or you just haven't needed to open it? If you haven't needed to open it yet I guess you don't really need one.
  • Tell the people in the office that it won't open and you either need it repaired, or you need to be assigned a different one. I don't know about you, but I had MANY books in high school. In the morning I'd go to my locker and collect any books I needed for my first two classes and put everything else in the locker. Then, in the break between 2nd and 3rd period, I'd stop back by my locker, drop off the books I was carrying and pick up any I'd need until lunch. At lunch, I'd stop by again and drop off unneeded books, picking up anything I'd need for the rest of the day. Then, after school I'd stop by once more and pick up anything I needed to take home to complete assignments. If I didn't need it that night, I'd leave it at school. Books are really heavy, and you shouldn't be carrying around any more than you absolutely have to. You'll definitely benefit from the use of a locker, so I suggest reporting the broken locker to the proper authorities. Good luck!
  • 4 years in high school I never even bothered to find my locker. I carried all my books in my backpack, I was going to need them anyway.
