Why does the church now extol the witnesses (those who witnessed the BOM and the Golden Plates) when Joseph Smith condemned them?

My friend, the Church has "Extolled" the three witnesses, from the time they first became witnesses. That also goes for the 8 witnesses, whose names also are found in every Book of Mormon. The fact is their witness is the one thing the world cannot refute. They continue to verify that Joseph Smith did have Gold Plates and did translate them, and no one else helped him except a scribe. The fact that all of the three witnesses and nearly half of the 8 witnesses were excommunicated from the Church and many hated Joseph Smith, but still maintained their testimony's until their dying day, makes their testimony's all the stronger. If there had been a conspiracy or fraud, they would have turned against Joseph Smith in a heartbeat. But they didn't, everyone of them remained faithful to the end. That is why we "Extol them. whew6
