  • Homosexuals are around 2% Real heterosexuals are around 2% The rest are shades of bisexual. Oh and in case you are wondering. 95% of those bisexuals readily deny that they are bisexual calling them self "straight".
  • i'm a finalist studying human sexuality, and very interested in your point of view. Athrael could you tell me which research papers, articles, publications you get these statistics from? Or is it an uninformed guess..
  • The 90% ratio is subjective to: 1) who you test, 2) what you are trying to prove. I find it disturbing that "95%" is quoted as being bisexual but deny it. True, it is entirely possible that this might be the case, but more reasonably, it is NOT likely to be the case; ESPECIALLY since this statement is quoted as 96% of ALL people are bisexual. First, we are talking about DELIBERATE tendencies, not POSSIBLE tendencies. If the majority do NOT participate in such acts then they are NOT bisexual. Afterall, if we are all capable of incest, child molestation, and murder, but don't participate in those acts, then we are not pedifiles or murders. It has already been proven that we all possess the capability, yet it is inconsequential until we actually do. In order for denial to be a likely truth, the person/people would have to truly struggle with this tendency frequently and to the point of disruption to their lives and yet still refuse to admit this tendency as a possibility. Secondly, like all studies, a small group is tested to represent the majority. While this information could be useful to some degree, it is impossible to be accurate. Usually, these types of statements backed with grandiose "findings" are the results of a defense mechanism called psychological projection. For these people, it is much easier to believe that the majority share the same behaviors and are simply in denial than it is to believe that they might be behaving in such an "unnormal" way.
  • The only evidence I have to go on is my personal experience. I know probably a couple of hundred people well enough to feel confident that I know their sexuality and two of them are gay, so that makes it about one percent.
