I got the Bio Ionic done is September of 2007 and Now in May 2008 I'm going back to have a touch up done. I love it.. I had super curly hair... which is very fine. During the summer my hair was very frizzy and hard to manage. I had to wash it every morning and apply a lot of hair care items just to keep the frizzy down when it dried. I have had curly hair my whole life and dreamed of having that soft silky blow in the wind hair... Now I have it.. and I love the process did take about 4 hours but it was well worth the money and the time... I could get away with not getting it done again for a few more months but we are going on vacation and I will be spending alot of time in the water and I don't want to worry about the roots of my hair being so curly. So I'm having it done again. But when you consider I spent $400. in September and it's now the begining of June ( my appt in May 31, 2008) thats only $50 a month to have straight hair I spent that everytime I went in and had it straightened with a flat iron and that only lasted a few days. It's great and I love and I would recomended it to anyone that asked.

I had it done Oct 2007 and by Apr 2008 I was having to start straightening it again with hot irons as it was getting out of control just like before but I discovered a seller on ebay who sells the bio ionic shampoo and conditioner and it is fabulous again. Really straight and silky smooth. forbeautysales is the name of the seller. God Luck

Hi I got the bio ionic straightening in 2002, I had it done regularly for the following months and years. You need to be aware that if you do not do the retouch (like when coloring the hair) the hair new that grows recovers its true nature (curly). You also need to take care of it if you continue retouching it by having treatments at least 1 or 2 times per month, as the hair can get really weak after years of going on the treatment. I never regret doing it even when my hair got weak after not following the proper care. I haven't retouch it for a year and my hair is back to where it was. Basically I stopped for a while to let my hair recover from so many chemical processes. Hope this helps.
