  • I have just run across the same thing. I searched the www and decided to take out the skirt (aka doghouse) under the radio. I also removed the ashtray/dual cup holder. This allowed me to get to the suspected motor/accentuator. I basically stood on my head to get to this thing, however it allowed me to do what I needed to do w/o removing the entire dash. After removing the part, I started the van until it warmed up. I then used a slotted head screw driver to turn the "D"-shaped hole counter-clockwise (left). This caused the blend flap to go to warm and I then reinserted the faulty accentuator into the "D"-shaped hole so that when I shut off the engine, the flap would stay to the warm side. I did this because I am waiting until payday to buy the motor/part and my wife has to use the van before then. Here is a link to the part...what it looks like anyway. http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i230/tomb_stone/158_5895.jpg I heard that it can cost upwards of $300 for a Ford dealer to do this work. Good luck!
