So, I just annoyed someone to the point that they made a second account to hit me with more -1's! Does anyone else pity this childish person?

I find it rather pesky. The red of the negative is more aggravating then the negative itself XD. Funny how red is one of my favorite colors though, it just seems so out of place seeing them though.

Yes, esp. since they don't know that most ABers don't really care about the points as much as learning and exchanging ideas. That's the real pay off here. A pity they don't get it; they could enjoy themselves here.

Doesn't necessarily mean it's a newbie. Some higher rankers could be giving you lots of -1's so it's not obvious they are the ones doing it.

Yes, yes I do. And somehow it never really bothers me much. -1 takes SO much trolling that if they REALLY want to waste their time on it, more power to 'em. They should be trying to get their own points and figure out AB instead of trying to wield their piddly little power of annoyance that is more or less gnat-like in intensity and size. I do tend to feel it a bit more if someone with a -5 or something trolls me... because those people have been around long enough that they either ought to know better, or somehow I've really offended them.

Sometimes I find it laughable when someone is downrating me because they don't understand the difference between fact and opinion. I usually get those (-1)s when I type a comment that someone doesn't like after they rate my answer.I guess a lot of people feel that it is either their way or no way. I usually try to avoid the people who are notorious for d-rating others. I am also amazed at some of the people, who ask a lot of questions just to rack up points while they never bother to read or rate any of the answers in their threads. That's why it so important to check out profiles to see who is playing an honest game here.
