Are there female Buddhist monks? If was a man, I'd inform him I'm not homosexual. If it was an attractive female, sounds good.
-
whip out mr. sidearm :D pistol whippage ftw
-
Depends on his looks :)
-
Depends on how much I was attracted to him.
-
Same thing I would do if anyone else did. Tell him that I am married.
-
I'd tell him to close his curtain because I'm not interested in seeing his show.
-
I'd turn the other cheek.
-
I would explain that I am married and faithful. As I would with any other person of any religion.
-
I'd tell the monk that I'm happy in my current relationship. As Buddhist monks tend to be celibate (I've not heard of any sect that isn't), I wouldn't be interested, anyway.
-
Challenge him to a Shaolin Showdown
-
Well, if SHE were cute.... If it was a he I'd be forced to say "I'm flattered, even a little curious, but the answer is still No..."
-
I'd shave his head and report him to the deli llama
-
Laugh.

Not all Buddhist traditions have celibate monks. And female monks are called nuns.
-
In the Japanese and Korean traditions such as Zen or Tendai for example, largely yes in those countries, as those societies are still surprisingly sexist. Buddhist nuns of non celibate traditions in the West though are on the whole not celibate, the same as the monks.
-
It is not appropriate obviously if a monk from a celibate tradition makes advances, and, since he is just a human being - treat him no differently than anyone else who'se attention is unwelcome. Monks, even celibate ones, do get attracted to people, surprising as that might be to some.
-
Yes, and dogs are people too. :o)
