What is the difference between Analog and Digital, also why is there a law now that we can't have analog tv's?

Analogue can be in any state, its not fixed. Think analogue stick on Playstation controllers. Digital can only have 2 states, on or off. Think x button on ps controller. Digital is better for TV's as the signal doesnt get distorted as easily.
