  • I think yes. But I would be extremely conscious of anything I say about religion. In fact, I would not even say anything about any religion. I would just focus on taking pictures =)
  • It was her class that came up with the name, not her. Why aren't they putting the CLASS on trial. She asked them to come up with their favorite name for the bear. It could have been some disgruntled teacher who's complaint got rebuffed at teh school who went to the authorities and made the stink. Now the teacher will be getting 40 lashes for insulting the Prophet of Islam. There was even a teacher's assistant who is Islamic in the room when they decided on the name and she thought it was fine, too:-( I'm leery of going someplace that goes to such extremes even with people that don't follow the same religion or are aware of how people possibly feel. Or of people who won't take an honest heartfelt apology over a lashing or prison time.
  • Sudan hasn't really been a safe holiday destination in years. Regardless of teddy bears, even if you pretend Darfur doesn't count- You'd have a safer, more enjoyable time vacationing in Chicago's west side.
