  • if you are unsure whether you can take it out or not go to your piercer and they will happily do it for you.
  • 1st,u unscrew the ball, careful not to lose it!then u gently pull it out.
  • You need to hold the bar with yous teeth and twist the ball to unscrew it then remove the bar and replace it with the new one it takes time to unscrew so be patient.
  • also,i have my husband help put the ball back on,cuz its a pain in the a#@ to do ur self if u have nails!
  • dnt use ur teeth it will damage them like tongue piercings can do hold the back the flat bit so the lip is bend with the flat bit on top. then hold the bak of the labret then with ur other hand inscrew the ball put it somewhere safe as the roll which is anoyin then slowly pull out so will prob end up in mouth area and... its done :)
  • I do it like this: Right hand holds ball, left pulls the flat part up so it the piercing is perpendicular to the ground. Unscrew the ball, set it some place safe. Get your other jewelry ready, unscrew it and pull the old one out and slide the new one it. If you just got it pierced I don't suggest trying to switch from a labret to a ring unless you can do it REAL quick.
  • mind if I ask, what is a labret piercing?

If you just got it pierced I don't suggest trying to switch from a labret to a ring unless you can do it REAL quick. The piercing is the center of the lower lip. It's generally a bit closer to the chin than mine is but I wanted mine high and I did it myself. It's about where the top of your gums are normally.
  • which wayyyyyy...??? i got mine pierced but i can't figure out which way to unscrew it. i keep hearing about clockwise and anticlockwise, but is that direction to me as the pierced person, or to the outside person? p.s. a labret is a "stud" usually reserved for your lip piercing, and it looks like a dot, not a hoop/ring thing.
  • Grab the back with your fingers or pliers if you have to (try to make them smooth) grab the ball with your hands and twist. If you wear rubber gloves you can get a better grip.
  • go the grocery store/dollar store and buy latex gloves. gargle with mouthwash. wash and dry your hands and put the gloves on. then, take an alcohol swab and clean around the outer area, to remove "crusties." now, twist the labret to YOUR right-hand-side (i used to get confused as to which way to do it) and untwist it. make sure you have a clean ziploc baggie inside a small box in front of you, so if the ball falls out, it can fall into the box and not into your floor.
  • im pretty sure the ball on mine WILL NOT come off. i'm so pissed. i have tried everything i'll tell you all in detail what i have done so far: used tissue to grasp because i don't have latex gloves i used tissue to just grab the flat part and turn the ball, nothing i used tissue to just grab the ball and turn the flat part, nothing i used tissue for BOTH parts at the same time, nothing i didn't have latex gloves, so i took a condom, cut it open, cleaned it, and let it dry and did what i did with the tissue, and nothing i used pliers...NOTHING i used just my fingers..NOTHING im turning the ball the right way, which is lefty loosy, righty tighty, so from my point of view i turn the ball to the right. i tried holding on to the flat part and sort of snapping the ball with my fingers..NOTHING this shit is PISSIN me OFF. all i want to do is put a damn hoop in there i even put a little oil on there, tried to turn it, took a shower, tried to turn it. NOTHING WILL WORK! im beginning to think im gonna have to squeeze the ball through the hole. and that doesn't sound like a good option for me. HELP!
