Help answer this question below.
If this is a homework question, complain to your teacher. I think quebec has been equally influenced by France and England. To say it only has influence from one is just plain wrong. I bet your teacher is asking for France as an answer as it was settled by the French and they still speak French but Quebec, and the rest of Canada, only received sovereignty from Great Britian as recently as 1982.
France, England, Ireland and Scotland.
The original settlers to Quebec came from France. France restricted those who could immigrate to Quebec in that all immigrants needed to be French Roman Catholic. That ended with the invasion of the British as part of the Seven-Years war with Britain. Quebec was transfered to British control and Quebec started to have it's first non-Catholic immigration. English, Scottish and Irish settlers started to immigrate as well as others.
It's easier to see from Quebec's architecture the mix and influence. The mixture of French and English architecture is quite clear to those who look for it.

You're reading Quebec Has Strong Influence From What European Country?
Comments
Yeah, France's influence effectively ended with the Decapitation of 1763. I disagree with your statement that we only 'received sovereignty' in 1982. What happened in 1982 was the very last severing of one single tie. The rest had been negotiated, not received as a gift, and largely by 1867.

fair enough, I was just trying to make the argument that Quebec has been influenced by two major european countries and not one.
