They're trying to save you. Actually I don't think that most people look at the category when they answer something. And only the Adult section separates itself from the other questions. But here's something that may cheer you up...

In all reality, there's a lot of atheist in the theist section, too. If it's separation you want, it will probably never be accomplished.

Nope! In reality, there wouldn't be one without the other. I mean, what are you gonna write about in an athiest section that doesn't have some relationship to theism? There are a few things, but not many, and it would get real old in a hurry.

Everyone is free to respond to whatever questions they wish. A lot of atheists comment in various religious categories as well. This forum is for the purpose of sharing information, and no specific person or group of people has its own corner. Any censorship of information or ideas (with the exception of personal attacks) would be contrary to the purpose of Answerbag.

Section labels refer to the topic under discussion, not the people who post there. If it was, then the "Home & Garden » Pets" pets section would just be filled with a lot of barking and meowing. :)

I happen to be a christian, but posted a question in the athiest category, out of curiosity as to what makes a person not believe in God if they were raised that way, if something happened or whatever.. Sorry, it won't happen again : (

well if they're asking questions i don't see a problem with it. if they offend you purposefully by all means you have the right to DR [i mean this is AB anyways] but hey answer their questions they're just curious. anyways i've asked a few questions under atheism, just curious and i'm not atheist, i just don't really know what i am right now concerning religion =)

Nah not a problem. Theists, atheists: let us all come together and have long and meaningful debates. Wouldn't it be a dull section if it were just atheists congratulating themselves on being right? Besides if I don't have someone to disagree with I get crotchety... Theists I for one welcome you with open arms :D

Yes, why is that!! I came here from Yahoo Answers, and the christians were always ranting and raving about us being in Religion and spirituality! yet we have our own space here, and where are the christians? Well, right here of course!! I'll bet that the christians are in the GLBT section of this site too, telling them that they are going to go to hell!! so, why don't you all; go back to tjhe christian part of the program and leave us ''heathens'' alone!!!

Nope. AB is an open and public forum. I should hope that a much more interesting discussion will ensue because of the cross fertilization.

So, each group just wants to talk among themselves? Then why are their so many atheists and agnostics in the theist section? Because it's a public place and everyone is free to roam and comment as they see fit. And I not see why a few people disagreeing with you should ruin your time or make you feel threatened. I'm sure it doesn't.
