The novelisation of Aliens wasn't bad. Aside from that I am struggling to think of any! :)

Eww, bleecccch, yuck, there is no such thing. Any "novelization" is not worth it's salt. There are a very few books, however, that were actually better as movies, in my opinion. The most recent example for me was "The Devil Wears Prada," which was a bit too preachy and gutteral in the original. I thought the movie hit just the right tones.
