Space and resources in the UK (or any country) aren't endless - there does have to be some kind of control over how many people can live here or the quality of life drops for everyone. I don't have any problem with immigrants individually as long as they pay taxes and don't commit any crimes (which let's face it, is more than a lot of native Brits seem to manage) but there is a limit to how many people the country can comfortably support, and I think we're starting to reach that limit now.

I think any country can have "too much"" immigration. Every country should have their own identity or culture. The main problem with mass immigration is assimilation. The more "multiculturalism" there is, the less of that countries historical culture there will be. I am not against LEGAL immigration, and I think people should bring their heritage with them. The problem is when those immigrants expect the host country to change their own culture to accommodate them.

Wow, I was soo unsure about whether to ask that question, I was thinking that the reaction would be something along the lines of suggesting a hint of racist concerning the question or other suggestions of me being nasty and xenophobic.
