Do you find as a writer, that posting on Answerbag helps with writer's block? Does it kick start your writing when you have stalled?

It really, really depends. I haven't actually asked for help with a block from anyone, anywhere as it just seems like I have to wiggle past it on my own...I have to figure out where the story is going, what my characters are going to do next. When I'm in the "blessed flow" of writing, life is a joy! I'm usually at least several chapters ahead of myself. Usually, if it's just not in the "F L O W" for me, I just have to force myself to write SOMETHING...and then edit and rewrite it later...push past the hump in my way. The gray, vague ideas floating and frittering about in my mind are the hell's own path to story writing. Oh yeah, there may be an ultimate outcome buried somewhere in my brain...but in the meantime, I have to get the characters and story to move it...from here to there! yikes! Answer Bag writing helps me to think and be more aware of my actual writing. The mechanics of writing, and the types of writing mistakes I am most prone to making! That IS a help...at least for me!
