I think it will be better to lose them after an accident because if u go blind you will have already seen a marvelous sunset if you go deaf you will have heard a song that will make your heart cry and if you go mute you will have tasted the pleasure of singing....

It is different for people born with a disability to those who recevces one later in life. People born learn to cope and a child born blind would learn to read braille where an adult who went blind would find learning to read braille hard. Also they have to adjust from not having a disaibity to having one. And did you know a man who is deaf and blind competed for Australia in the Paralympic games in Cycling.

Go blind. At least I'd remember things as I saw them.

I'd rather be born blind. That way I wouldnt know what I was missing.

At birth. At least that way you don't know what your missing (i.e the sound of the rain or a beautiful painting) Thinking about it, I don't think I would want to be deprived of such simple things if I at some time was not. After ignorance is bliss, yes?

birth would be ok. but later will be difficult.

I believe since birth would be worse. But loosing those abilities after an accident would be terrible. Years ago my neighbor in the apartment next to mine lost his eyesight and every night he would cry himself to sleep. His cries were so deep and painful so much agony he suffered. Unforgettable.
