It depends on who's theory about 9/11 you want to believe. Certainly the official theory says he was involved -- but then -- the official theory also said that Iraq was involved. Speaking of theories -- since nobody can find this guy -- and we American's have an entire army supposedly looking for him -- I wouldn't be surprised if OBL is an entirely made up persona -- just to smoke screen common plebs like us.

    re: Comments

More than 1/2 of Americans believed the Iraq theory due to President's Bush's statements, and the media's interpretation of them during his first term, when the 2nd war against Iraq began.

    re: comments

Why bother with creating a persona? Because it's a good ruse to keep a war going that's main aim is actually to secure the Middle East and Central Asia for American oil companies.

The question is, ... do we believe Osama was involved?

    I truely do not know,

The system is full of lies and deceit, its hard to know the difference of what is truth and what they want us to believe to be truth.

IN a civilized court of LAW, there are rules about EVIDENCE and there are rules to accuse a person of a crime.

I feel our modern world have ignored those rules, we common men do not know anything, we are just hearing SENSATIONAL clips after clips from respectable and revered men, I dont know the TRUTH.

There's plenty of doubt among those who seem to thrive on conspiracy theories, and what our government does or doesn't tell us as truth. This is especially true with some people who oppose whichever political party is in office at the time, and they will go to any extreme to keep the doubt and rumors alive, with websites and publications full of so-called facts.

Having said that, certainly, there is evidence to show that Osama bin Laden had connections with the hijackers previously, including training, as well as instructions of when exactly, and how to do it right, prior to it all happening.

I don't speak Arabic... but various unrelated news sources have shown video tape of OBL with a translator voice over wherein he claimed responsibility for the attack. A quick web search found several competing news organizations with headlines reflecting this claimed responsibility.

Is he lying about his role? I do not personally know for sure, but I have no reason to doubt his sincerity.

He certainly wants the credit/shame for it.
He really got more attention than he desired.

So, he was involved afterwards, if not before.
He raised his hand and said "I did it."

    Credible people agreed with him.
I think he inspired, and financed it.
Would love to have proof, but don't he left a video or document trail.

He confessed. I believe him. Guilty.

He would be involved if the hijackers well, hijacked the plane, but... many of them have been found alive and well in the four corners of the globe. Have you ever thought of bin Laden as a scapegoat? It fits the true picture quite well, especially in neoconservative philosophy.

There are many opinions on this subject, both within our government and without. I personally believe that if our government had definitive proof that bin Laden was responsible for the attacks of 9/11, he would already be in custody. This is of course, if our government didn't think that he would be more useful to us in a different capacity. Having formerly worked with and for the government, I have seen stranger things happen.

As for the comment about not having any interviews of bin Laden denying his involvement; here is a report of such an interview.

"I have already said that I am not involved in the September 11 attacks in the United States. As a Muslim, I try my best to avoid telling a lie. I had no knowledge of these attacks, nor do I consider the killing of innocent women, children and other human beings as an appreciable act. Islam strictly forbids causing harm to innocent women, children and other people."
Usama (Osama) bin Laden, in an interview with Ummat magazine on September 28th, 2001.

He says he helped FUND the attack. but other than that, I see no other evidence that he was actually involved with the planning of the attack.
If he was really involved, why would Bush order FBI to not arrest him or his family members until after Sept 13, and allowing him to escape even after all flights have been grounded?

He claims he did, though I have not seen proven evidence of it.I would say that his organization and himself did not have the capability to engineer such an incredibly complicated plan.
