  • If you've got spark, fuel, and compression...it should start. But the spark can be tricky, the current needs to be sufficient and triggered at the right places at the right time. Check your timing belt to make sure it is within specification. Confirm that your spark plug cables are plugged into the distributor cap in their right positions. (use/buy a Honda Civic service manual for detailed reference) Attach a compression guage to your engine block to make sure you have good compression and don't have any oil leaks.
