Is it true that beet root juice application can redden the lips?

    It makes everything red for awhile, including the stuff that comes out when you go to the bathroom!

    It will, but watch how much you put on and how evenly you put it on... You can try red food colouring too... Watch you don't get it on your teeth...

    Well, yes. Almost anything that contains a red tint will redden lips. Might not last long or taste great (what can I say, I dislike beets), but I am sure it will temporarily tint lips red. My stylist once gave me a great recipe for a hair treatment with strawberries to replenish and highlight my red hair. It worked well much to my surprise. I bet strawberry juice would taste better than beets and work well too.

    What works best for me is to exfoliate my lips which promotes circulation and provides a nice natural flush, see my answer here:
