"I have this nice Bath & Bodyworks set in the shower that I just washed up with. Honey its your Christmas Gift." Does that sound thrilling? A gift being used before the reciever even gets to use it?! Dude, no, don't do this. You should give her the holiday set before the intented event, and if you want to go all out...surprise her. When she shows up have coffee or tea in the holiday cups,a dessert on the platter, it could be romantic, you know. Let her know the sets hers. Its really up to her whether she wants to leave them with you, or take them home..but if you really needed them. I think she'd understand, especially since you want to impress her folks. If not, you better look into good holiday paper plates, the festive kind!

i think it is not as romantic if she comments on them and u say oh by the way honey.. im using them now but they are really yours.. maybe you could say.. i want to give you a gift early.. and when she opens them say.. i gave them to you early because i thought you might like to have something nice to use for when your parents come over.. she might not want to use them, but if she does then it shows her that they are all hers and not something that you bought just cuz u wanna use them..

I think that you should give her the gift and not even mention using it for the Christmas eve dinner this way you will surely know if she likes the gift and you would not imply anything

you should plan a nice romantic dinner by the fireside. You lay everything on a nice blanket and have matching candles with the plaaters. you use the plaater to lay out the dinner where you will inform her that that is her early present and she could also use them when her parents come over.
