This may be a dumb question but how do I leave points in such a way that the person knows I left them points? Sorry, Im a bit new here.

You can add a comment saying "+#" to their answer to your question ... or add the same line at the bottom of your answer to their question. ... +5 ...

Personally I do not like the practise of telling people you are giving them points. It is not something Ido and I think some people think that you are asking them to retaliate by stating that you have. So many people seem to want to say they are giving points but nobody wants to admit to giving negative points . Welcome to the Bag and you must do what you think is best. When you ask a question just say thankyou in the comment box people will know you hve bothered to read their answer and know you have probably given them points.
