  • You can check with your local clerk of court at the courthouse, but 'round here a court date is a mandatory invitation, which is why you got the original failure to appear. While it will take time out of your life, you're probably better off just going; this will give you a chance to plead your case and the fine may be reduced.
  • In Tennessee, a violation of the "move over law" is a hefty 500.00 fine. Since you now have a failure to appear, you will have to go to court. you can pay a fine, but, the court will most likely not allow it. Learn your court date and appear.
  • Pay the fine now..go to court and show them..or you will get another failure to appear with a nice little bench warrant attatched..you will be paying a fine for the failure to appear as well and court cost..but it beats jail :)
  • If you failed to show the first time, i doubt you'll get out of the court date. Judges don't like that kind of stuff. Try and pay it, but you'll probably have to go to court.
