Light is made of photons, photons are pure energy. Energy by definition can not be still. Therefore light has to move!
-
Because I'm holding the flash light. Light is a form of pure energy and can be harnessed to our needs, and it has no physical mass so therefore it has no inertia. http://antoine.frostburg.edu/chem/senese/101/quantum/

Because the sun moves.

Light doesn't move...it's the only thing that doesn't...actually, we and all matter move at the speed of light...light is the constant, in that it doesn't move, so no matter what direction we move in, the speed of light remains the same...that's why time gets messed up at the speed of light...if you reached the speed of light you would no longer be moving, and there would be no time for you...so, actually, as you approach the speed of light you are moving slower and slower...when you reach the speed of light you are no longer moving...and you have no mass, as mass is a function of motion. Never mind the train thought experiment...that was just Einstein's sense of humor showing through...I don't know how he figured it out...
