  • Well, if your hard drive is full then what you should really do is get an external drive or a USB flash drive to save your music files on. That will also ensure that if your sad, little laptop dies - your music will live on! Drive down to your local computer store (take your laptop with you so you can show them what you're working with and spare the technical details) and tell them you need a storage solution. They will happily offer to sell you the most expensive model with all the features that you'll never need, and you'll be in business.
  • You can do was hellfirespawn says (http://www.answerbag.com/a_view/1716252) and add external disk storage. Or, you can take it into the shop and have them upgrade the hard drive to a larger capacity. I would favor the latter in most cases, because having an external drive can be inconvenient when it's time to move your laptop around.
  • The only caveat here is that if your laptop is nearing the end of its life, buying a bigger hard drive for it might be a waste. I'd go for the external drive. In fact, if it's just to hold music, I would suggest buying a Creative Labs Zen mp3 player. I have one and when I hook it up to my computer, it thinks the Zen is just a drive full of music files, allowing me to use it like an external hard drive - for music.
