Temper them, absolutely. I'll even keep track- I called him last time, now I won't call again until he does.

I just go for it. I don't throw myself at him, but I let it fly in any direction I see fit. SOMEBODY has to make the first moves!

A little of both, really. I'll hang back and scope out the situation for a while, and if I think he's interested then I lay it all out.
