How do you wear a Bronze Star Medal if you have one for valor and one for meritorious service?

    You should wear the medal, or ribbon, with a "V" designating valor, and also with a bronze oak leaf cluster designating that you were awarded 2 Bronze Stars. This is according to my DA Form 1577, Authorization for Issuance of Awards.

    You wear the ribbon with the appurtenance for the highest award, so a Bronze Star for Valor would be worn with the "V" device since an award for valor supersedes one for meritorious service.

    The V is worn centered on the suspencion of the medal and on the ribbon, when there are clusters worn also, the V is worn on the wearer's right. Army 670-1
