  • the esiest way would be to sleep with your hand above your head, or under you pillow. :) and congradulations on you going to have a child. good luck, and i hope all goes well. :
  • I sleep with my arm under my pillow.
  • I've had 4 daughters, and I never would have made it thru any of the pregnancies without my body pillow. My doctor actually advised me to buy one because of the same sit..I always slept on my tummy and had difficulty adjusting to sleeping on my side. They are fairly inexpensive ($20 at Walmart) and they help so much.
  • I know just how you feel. I am a stomach sleeper too, and had the same issue when I was pregnant with my sons. I found that the best place for my arm was around a pillow (as if you are cuddling it), or underneath the pillow that your head is on. I have to admit though that I often woke up to a completely dead arm. The first time it happened I seriously thought that it was someone else's arm in the bed - very wierd! Good luck with the arm and, of course, the rest of your pregnancy :)
  • A body pillow is definitely a great thing to have for side sleeping when you are pregnant, because of the arm positioning, and the fact you can use it to help position your knees so that your hips won't hurt, either. As I got bigger when I was pregnant, I also used the body pillow to help hold my tummy up so the baby didn't flop down onto the bed so far and give me even more pain and weirder sensations in the abdomen.
