  • My friend is a Honda Mechanic and he told me to replace the IAC Valve. Intake Air Control. My check engine was on and it read misfire on all cylinders. He said that is the only thing that would cause this to happen. My car has been stalling after starting since 30,000 miles. It is really anoying because it doesn't happen all the time. Once I give it some gas it is usually fine until the next time. I am replacing it this week. I will let you know. Anyway the part is $160 from the honda dealer. Good Luck.
  • Bad sensor. Take your car to Auto Zone and let their computer check it our, for free.
  • I forgot to mention that my car is also a 2000 Honda Accord V6. When I first noticed the problem it happened only once every few months but now it is getting worse. My car has almost 110,000 miles on it now. I cleaned the IAC valve at first and it helped a little but my friend, the mechanic, said to replace it. It is very hard to clean it thoroughly.
  • Teh IAC valve was not the problem. I replaced it and it is still stalling. I ever figure it out I will post again.
  • i am having the same exact problem with my v6 2000 accord after revving it for awhile it will stay on but sometimes the check engine light comes on with a miss fire on all cylinders. did the idle air control vavle fix it
  • could be high fuel pressure getting to much fuel have it checked
  • Sounds like an emmisions leak. When you open the gas cap do you get a sucking sound (like the hose on a vacuum cleaner or is there no movement of air?
  • my car is doing the same thing and now the check engine came on. please someone tell me if it is the AIC valve so i can replace it. or the idle speed. please let me know
  • I have the same problem! Plus my BF, Darrell eats alot of hot wangs!
  • OMG! This happened to me after my boyfriend< Darrel, came back from buying a 30piece bucket of hot wangs at KFC. It stalled on him, so he ate the whole bucket of wangs and left the bones in my car!!!
  • What is up with all these cars 'turning over'? Don't you know people than when a car does that it's because it wants its belly scratched? The same works for the dog, btw
