In about 4-5 billion years time, possibly. It may not actually get big enough to swallow it. That is no consolation, because it would certainly fry it. However, that is far enough away that I think I will leave it for others to worry about.

In About 4.5 to 5 billion years the sun will turn into a red giant....it will swallow mercury, venus, and maybe earth.... heck maybe even mars...

The Suns outer layers will engulf the earth in about ~5 Billion years or so. At this point in the suns life its central core runs out of Hydrogen and it starts to contract. This increases the core temperature which puffs out the Suns outer layers. These layers will travel far enough to engulf our planet. These layers will apply friction on our planet (just as the atmosphere does to things in low earth orbit like ISS) and so it will slowly start to spiral inwards under gravity, until it totally breaks up (either due to pressure if not already by the temperature).

what do you mean by 'SWALLOW'. if your talking about burning , then it will MAYBE because we are making the O zone dessapere by not going green
