  • I dont smoke anymore but I can say it mellows you out After a long day ,a small amount not much it like a glass a wine a day
  • 1. It puts you to sleep 2. it's really friggin' hard to stop, apparently. This is my husband. He's been on it since he was 13... he's 38 now, and trying INCREDIBLY hard to quit.
  • Ok, I have been smoking gonja since 1985. I can tell you what I have noticed. Life, even while sober is just more enjoyable. I have expanded my horizons of thought, and through constant marijuana use, come to realize how small I really am, and how amazing the world around us can be. I have some memory problems from time to time. Nothing long term. It is short term memory that I will have problems with. I am often putting things down and forgetting where I put them. I do notice that I rely more on bud to keep me level then before, and that I don't get high like I used to.
  • agreed, since i first started smoking every day (its only been about a month now, so i have a recent vantage point) i've become closer to my family, esp the ones that smoke with me. while most government propaganda considers it a mind-"altering" substance, most people who are open minded toward it consider it mind-broadening. you attain an ability to see a situation from so many other angles that you wouldn't see if sober. you become much more docile, and loving toward everyone in general, and have more of a "live and let live" attitude. my little brother has a social disorder, and before i started smoking, i couldn't stand being around him. and since HE started smoking, we've gotten closer almost every day. i would say that if you are open to the idea, start smoking with him for a month or so. not necessarily every day, but just a few nights a week, and see if it opens your mind to what he's about. its likely that the two of you will become closer.
  • It slows down your thinking and unstresses you, meaning you can simply concentrate on how nice the blankets feel, or how good that cookie would be right about now, instead of thinking about what your boss said earlier that day and what did he mean by it... and things like that.... that's how it is for me anyway... doesn't get you high, it un sticks your thinking process; makes it easier to get past an issue so you can just simply burnt out and pass out. ..... I am so high right now.
  • For one thing, it harms memory. It suppresses anger. It inhibits dreaming while sleeping - ask a psychiatrist if this matters. It reduces motivation. It makes a person more of a dreamer than a doer. It completely lowers the bar on what a person can be. It slows reaction times. It is a psychic straightjacket. Blah blah blah. Addicts never want to hear this stuff. Then again maybe he was dull, unimaginative, unmotivated, and forgetful to begin with.
