LOL. Love the other answers. I think the guy definitely has skewed priorities. He also may have problems with really feeling loving emotions or maybe he's really been hurt and has closed himself off and the love he feels for this other guy is the only love that he feels is 'safe' for him. He may be afraid to truly give his heart to a woman or another woman, as the case may be, and really believes he will never love anyone as much as his 'brother' who stands before him. Is he gay? Eh. I don't have enough information to make that kind of call. He might just be confused and in some kind of emotional turmoil. I'd probably give him the benefit of the doubt, unless I had other reasons for suspecting he's same sex oriented.

I wouldn't necessarily say that. Who can ever understand the ties that bind us to people ... or the types of relationships they are. I don't think one would have to be gay to say that they loved a man ... I love many of my friends of both sexes. I'm sure those friends who said that had been through a lot together and had a very strong bond.

Not necessarily, it would depend on if he meant a sexual love or not. Many people in the military have a very strong bond akin to love but they are not gay.

I'm going to say not necessarily. You can love someone like a brother, or like a father, and have a deep and abiding love and not have it be sexual at all. Did you ever see the movie Love Actually? The section with the rock star and his manager is like that, at the end, when he turns to him and says that of all the relationships in his life, this is the only one that's held up. I think it's like that for a lot of people eventually, that relationships can come and go but your very best friend can be a true bond that lasts. I was just saying with some men that I know, what a shame it is that a guy can't say that he loves his friend, even if they've been friends since childhood and together through thick and thin, because they're all afraid to look "gay". That's stupid. And let's face it, some men just don't like women very much -they'll sleep with them, but love them? Not so much. So it's pretty plausible that he *couldn't* love a woman more for that reason as well.

No, because Jesus is a man and every Christian man should love Him, their Lord, God, and Saviour, more than their wife even. Their wife should also love the Lord Jesus more than her husband as well. No, he may just be a lil more emotional then most men by expressing it but women do it all the time. We have best friends that we have a mutual trust & platonic relationships & get along with out female friends more then our bf or spouses. It don't mean we want to have sex with them & we tell each other we love each other don't mean we love them sexually. And you can ask any women who would they rather be stranded on an island with chances are it would be her best friend. So no I personally don't think its gay just means he has a deep emotional connection. Unless he tells you he wants you sexually then thats a different story.

Some men seek Passion and often times they find it more with a man than a woman. They could be straight, but find Love easier with another man. The Passion that drives some mens' fantasies means alot more than any relationship they might have with a woman.
