Oh, loads. As little ones, I want to show them Shel Silverstein's The Giving Tree, Falling Up, Where the Sidewalk Ends, A Light in the Attic... all the wonderful Dr. Seuss books... old Hans Christian Anderson stories: Little Tiny, The Little Mermaid, Tom Thumb... old fairy tales and Aesop's fables... when they're old enough to start reading, I'll give them "Where the Wild Things Are", "Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day", "Why Do Mosquitoes Buzz In Peoples' Ears?" and as soon as they get the hang of those, I'll move on to "The Hobbit" "The Lord of the Rings"... it was the book my daddy used to read with me, every night, until I could sound out words like "Khazad Dûm" and "Dwimmerlaik"... at four years old. Yes, I'm certainly looking forward to having extraordinarily literate children ^_^ It runs in the family.
