How does laundry detergent differ from dish washing detergent? Can I use laundry detergent to wash dishes and vice versa?

Soap is soap is soap but I would guess the formulae for laundry detergent targets a different dirt and that dishwashing detergent probably works better at breaking down fats. Try using hair shampoo for dishes. It worked for me when I ran out of dishwashing detergent.

I believe that most laundry soap produces fewer suds, It helps it rinse cleaner while still be effective. If you use dish soap in the laundry only use a small amount, or else you'll have a "Brady Bunch" episode where there is suds all in the kitchen. Likewise, you probably have to use quite a bit of laundry detergent to wash dishes.

yeh i dont know how diffrent they are but i have used both for either laundry or dishes its all good
