  • nope; nothing wrong with silence.
  • Alas I rather tend to be the one who creates the void in the first place : P Also, I hate conversations full of filler with little content... If there's a void it tends to be because nothing more is to be said, and is not a cue for someone to start talking about random unimportant things just for the sake of talking - they can go find a mirror and have all the fun in the world if that's what they want to do : D
  • Yes. To make matters worse I am a jokester, so I usually fill voids with something I think is witty. It doesn't always work. I will listen to you as long as you talk, but if you shut up I will immediately chime in with something inane.
  • Good question. I for one always feel embarressed by "voids" and now that you have posed the question I can't help wondering why I feel like this. So I always try "fill" the void. Maybe someone can explain the social reaction people like me have?
  • I certainly do, but I'm not really sure why.
  • No....in fact, I think it's a sign that two people are really good friends, and secure with each other. It gives you a chance to collect your thoughts..as opposed to filling the air with chatter for the sake of chatter.
  • No, indeed. What a waste of time!
  • No. I get kind of annoyed when there's an endless stream of blah blah, I think if there's nothing interesting to say, might as well enjoy the quiet
