  • I know this may no be too helpful but maybe a bit more reassuring? I did the same thing to my hand, for some reason my pink finger didnt get feeling back for weeks.. but eventually it did &nothing happened. I worried so much because my pinky is so small but now I just monitor myself while I sleep. Hard to believe but if wake up, I change positions.. I havent had an issue like that since.
  • On Answerbag, BeCool asked a similar question. Why do limbs tingle painfully after they have fallen asleep? Can having your leg or arm fall asleep cause permanent harm? -(They have some good answers). http://www.answerbag.com/q_view/1696 I myself have had my arm fall alseep a couple of times and felt the rush of hot blood flow through my cold arm, but I never had a continuing numbness for several weeks. If you still have a numb feeling, try your doctor if the other answerbaggers can't help.
